Last Edited25 Mar 2017
Mary "Polly" Wolf/Woolf married John Mayfield
; her 1st husband; per FAG John was a cousin of her 2nd husband, Isaac.2 Mary "Polly" Wolf/Woolf was born in 1770 at Virginia, USA.1 She married Isaac Mayfield Jr., son of Isaac Mayfield Sr. and Jean "Jane" Baxter, circa 28 July 1830 at Pulaski Co., Kentucky, USA,
; his 2nd wife.1
Mary "Polly" Wolf/Woolf died on 18 December 1848 at Pulaski Co., Kentucky, USA.1
Mary "Polly" Wolf/Woolf was buried after 18 December 1848 at Freedom Cemetery, Science Hill, Pulaski Co., Kentucky, USA; from FindAGrave.com:
     Birth:      1770, Virginia, USA
Death:      Dec. 18, 1848, Pulaski County, Kentucky, USA
Daughter of Henry Wolf and Elizabeth (Mitchell) Wolf.
She married 1) John Mayfield, who died in 1813. About 28 July 1830, in Pulaski Co., KY, Polly married John's cousin, the widower Isaac Mayfield, Jr. This marriage evidently did not work out, as he deeded Polly's slaves back to her on 26 Nov 1831, and departed for IN, where he died ca. Apr 1849.
The family story is that she died while sitting on her porch eating an apple. She had been a "pioneer doctor", and descendants have some of her instruments.
