Bertha Dickerson was born on 28 February 1866 at Ronald Township, Ionia Co., Michigan, USA.1 She married Mathew Martin Armstrong, son of Matthew M. Armstrong and Emily Jane Armstrong, on 24 December 1884.1

Bertha Dickerson died on 15 September 1919 at Lake Odessa, Ionia Co., Michigan, USA, at age 53.1
Bertha Dickerson was buried after 15 September 1919 at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa, Ionia Co., Michigan, USA; From Find A Grave:
BIRTH     28 Feb 1866, Ronald Township, Ionia County, Michigan, USA
DEATH     15 Sep 1919 (aged 53), Lake Odessa, Ionia County, Michigan, USA
The Lake Odessa Wave, Friday, September 19, 1919
Mrs. M. M. Armstrong, Sr., who had a lingering illness which has baffled medical skill for months, was taken with a stroke of paralysis last week and although conscious at times was too weak to rally and succumbed Monday morning. Mrs. Armstrong was a very ambitious energetic woman, always in a hurry to get things done and always had a smile while at her duties when able to work. She was a popular charter member of the Royal Neighbor lodge here. She was highly respected by all, and dearly loved by her friends, her sweet loving disposition endearing her to all who became acquainted with. her. Her family has the sympathy of a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.
Bertha Dickerson was born in Ronald Township, Ionia County, February 28th, 1866. Died at her home in Lake Odessa September 15th, 1919. She was married to Mathew M. Armstrong December 24, 1884. To them were born two boys, Mathew M. Jr., and Morrice D. She was converted when a girl of 15 or 16 years of age, and lived the Christian life ever since, passing to the great beyond with her faith strong in God. She never united with any of the churches of Lake Odessa, but had been a member of the Disciple church in Ionia.
Besides the husband and two sons who are left to mourn their loss is the mother, two brothers and two sisters. She was a woman who was loved by all who knew her. Of an unusual sunny disposition, never complaining; even when her body was racked with pain she had a smile for those around her.
Those from out of town who were in attendance at the funeral were: Mrs. Chas. Hoyt and Mrs. D. R. Hoyt of Detroit, sister and niece of the deceased; Mrs. D. O. Cassel of Denver, Colorado, a sister; Jas. J. Dickerson of Stanton, a brother; Alden Carpenter of Pinkney, an uncle; and the following near relatives: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lake of Pinkney; Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Talcott of Saranac; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Turner of Palo; Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Robertson, Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Turner, Mrs. Theodore Lehman, Mrs. Florence Johnson and Mrs. Myrtle Peck, all of Ionia.
