     Charles Boren died in Trigg County in 1810 at the age of 90 and is believed to have been the first to be buried in Boren Cemetery near Linton. Stephen either inherited or claimed part of his father's land. Stephen married Charity Colson (1791-1870) in 1809. She was d/o Sanders Colson and Bathseba Futrell. Stephen and Charity had three known children: Clarissa, Alfred & Bradley Bailey Boren. Stephen Boren died at Roaring Springs in 1843 and was buried near his father in the Boren Cemetery; Charity joined him there 27 years later. None of their graves are marked.

     Abel Abraham Fike was the son of Nathan Buford and Susannah (Foushee/Forshee) Fike. Rachel (Crownover) Fike was his 1st wife. They were married in 18O5. Rachel died March 1815. Nancy (Land) Crownover Fike was his 2nd wife. He was her 2nd husband. They were married St. Clair Co., Illinois, December 2, 1815. Nancy was the widow of Rachel's younger brother Joseph. Nancy died December 11, 1879. Abel was a farmer and a civil engineer.

     Rachel was the daughter of Benjamin and Rachel Jasper Crownover. She married Abel Fike, 1805, in the Pendleton District, Anderson Co., South Carolina.
     Soon after starting their family they left South Carolina and headed west. The settled in Hopkins Co., Kentucky for awhile and then moved further north into Illinois. They eventually settled in St. Clair County.
     Rachel died in either late 1814 or early 1815, leaving Abel with several young children. Abel later married Nancy Land Crownover, who was the widow of Rachel's younger brother Joseph.

     James Ball immigrated to Westmoreland-Stafford County, VA on 23 Nov 1654 with 19 other immigrants. He was Catholic and was transported by John Drayton. This was a time of great discrimination against Catholics in Maryland and Virginia, and oppressed Catholics tended to rely on each other. James chose immigrate to the most religiously tolerant area of Virginia which had been founded by an espoused Catholic, Giles Brent. Brent was recruiting Catholic colonists for his settlement in Virginia which, Brent hoped, would provide refuge from most of the religious persecution rampant in both England and colonial America at that time. Since most colonists emigrated from the port nearest their place of origin, it is likely that the original English home of immigrant James Ball was in the Severn River Valley area near Bristol, England.
     James Ball married a lady named Catherine and they had at least one son named John Ball I (b. 1670).
     In 1676, James Ball evacuated to the Brent Settlement in Aquia Creek, Stafford County, due to increasing tension with Native Americans. It is approximately six miles southwest of the area where John Ball acquired his second land grant in 1699/1700, on Dogue Run in present-day Fairfax County.
