     Last Thursday evening Mr. Enoch G. Gearhart, of Chester Hill, Clearfield county, died at his home. He was born on a farm not far from the town in which he died, November 3, 1827, and was consequently aged 79 years, 11 months, and 14 days. He was married January 1, 1855 to Miss Nannie Ellis, the ceremony taking place at the home of the bride at Warriorsmark, Huntingdon county. Seventeen children were born to them and six survive, among the number being two sons, Alton and Theodore of this city. The wife is also living. Mr. Gearhart at one time was a member of the board of commissioners of Clearfield county and also served on the Chester Hill school board. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
