     Nobility, Clergy, second eldest son of Pierre I de Luxemburg-St.Pol, Count de Brienne, and Margherita de Baux. He married Philippotte de Melun in 1441. They had nine children including Philippe de Luxembourg. After his wife's death, he joined the Cistercian order and was elected bishop of Le Mans in 1465. He was created Cardinal by Pope Sixtus IV in 1474, but never published. He resigned as bishop in 1476 in favor for his son.
